Jinhao 80 Fountain Pen - Wine Red
I Just bought this nice pen from Pen Galaxy BD and I am enjoying it. Literally, this pen doesn’t look like a $10 pen rather looks much more classy. My colleagues are giving me compliments and I’m really happy to have it.
Now when it comes to writing - it’s a joy. I knew it’s a Chinese Brand Pen so my expectations were like a mixed bag. But I can happily say that it is awesome. The nib is smoother than other pens of below 3000 BDT price bracket, the converter is much better and can store more ink than pilot standard converter. Also I can fill the entire converter with ink which is not possible in most other standard converters. So all in all I am happy.
Special thanks to Ziaul bhai for his support. He is a nice guy, and I will suggest future customers to consult with him if you are confused about selecting the correct nib or even selecting the correct pen for you. He is always there for helping the customers and can ensure a good buying experience.
Looks: This pen, Jinhao 80, outwardly looks like a clone of Lamy 2000. But after uncapping, the upper portion of the pen (along with the nib section) looks different. Besides, the pen has a textured plastic body unlike Lamy 2000 (which has a textured metal body).
Nib: This pen writes flawlessly. Mine has an Extra Fine (EF) nib which writes like a Japanese F-nib. I have two Lamy nibs in my collection that can be used in this pen. But the nib in this pen writes so well that I need not to swap the nib.
Comparison to Jinhao Dadao 9019: I've recently bought a Jinhao Dadao 9019 which is a big pen (almost double in size in comparison to Jinhao 80). Both these pens have amazed the users of fountain pens worldwide because of the design, good quality and smooth writing experience at such a low cost. This is a rare achievement for any Chinese brand.
