Pilot Kakuno Fountain Pen - Gray

This is a really really good starter fountain pen, comes with a plastic body in different colours, the neck of the pen is slightly flattened on the three sides like that of a triangle so that it makes you hold the pen properly I like this cuz it’s not too flat like the Lamy safaris so if you insist on doing it your way (rebel :P) you could hold it the way you want as well. But they certainly didn’t cheap out on the nib. Despite being a starter pen the nib is of really good quality. My M size nib glides along the paper making writing a breeze with little to no “scratchiness”. From what I’ve heard the nib is the same as the ones on their more expensive counterpart the metropolitan pens. Apart from that the provided ink is also quite good. The darkness is somewhere in between HB2 pencil darkness to a typical roller ball black ink darkness, leaning more towards the roller ball ink darkness side. I enjoy writing with this pen and personally I’d recommend getting a good fountain pen like this one compared to the cheaper alternatives if you’re just starting off with fountain pens. Getting a good pen like would leave you with a good impression about fountain pens and a good writing experience and later on you can decide on what your next pen would be or maybe just stick to this one as well.
