This one is really smooth, better than my pilot metropolitan. I will recommend the medium nib. Also this pen uses a lot of ink so a good quality dedicated fountain pen paper is very important for this pen, otherwise there will be lots of bleeding and feathering.

The soft-medium nib is very impressive. You can push out a lot or a little ink for line variation, depending on your pressure. The ink flow says wet throughout writing. Lovely shading with inks designed for that purpose. I am really enjoying using it.
